Coffee is grown on small farms in the high mountains. All the coffee is hand-picked and grown using natural organic fertilizers, then dried on raised beds or house roofs. This particular lot tastes like plum, cocoa bean and apple strudel, so there's something for everyone.
All of the coffee in this lot was hand-picked and dry-processed. After hand sorting, the cherries were dried on the roofs of the houses for 6-12 days. They were then transported to the processing station in Sana'a where they were tasted and graded according to quality. The coffee is then processed in a dry mill (peeled from the cherry), sorted on an optical sorter and packed into 30 kg bags. Then it was shiped to Ostrava - to roastery with family tradition.
