This processing station was established in 2010 by Justin Musabyiman on his father's coffee plantation. He grows his own coffee on 8 hectares and also buys the cherries from almost 500 nearby farmers. Thanks to the ideal geographical conditions, the expertise in cultivation, harvesting, and processing, we can expect really good coffee of high quality. The cherries are sorted in washing channels, followed by a wet fermentation in concrete tanks. After the fermentation, the beans are washed and dried in the shade, manually sorted by quality and then dried on raised African bed. The coffee is covered with a cloth during the hottest hours of the day and at night.
